1. Introduction

Fuel Finder ("the App") is a mobile application developed by Yuvraj Shridhar ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Location Data

The App requests access to your device's location to show nearby fuel stations and calculate distances. Your location data is:

• Processed locally on your device
• Never transmitted to our servers
• Never stored, logged, or shared with third parties
• Used only while the App is open

You can deny location access at any time through your device settings. The App will still function but will not be able to show nearby stations.

2.2 Fuel Price Data

The App retrieves fuel price data from the UK Government's Fuel Finder API. This data is publicly available under the Open Government Licence v3.0. No personal data is sent to this API.

2.3 Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• General location (based on IP address)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• Ad interaction data

2.3.1 Advertising Consent (GDPR)

When you first open the App, you will be shown a consent form asking for your permission to use personalised advertising. This form is provided by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and complies with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2).

You can:

• Consent — allow personalised ads based on your interests
• Manage options — choose specific purposes and vendors individually
• Do not consent — ads will still be shown but will not be personalised

Your consent choice is stored on your device for up to 390 days. You can change your consent at any time by deleting and reinstalling the App, which will trigger the consent form again.

2.4 Local Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your preferred fuel type selection (if "Remember selection" is enabled)
• Cached fuel station data for offline viewing
• API authentication tokens (stored securely in device keychain/keystore)

This data is never transmitted off your device.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

• We do not create user accounts or profiles
• We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal details
• We do not track your movements or location history
• We do not sell any data to third parties
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs (beyond AdMob)
• We do not collect usage statistics

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• UK Government Fuel Finder API — provides fuel station and pricing data
• Google AdMob — displays advertisements (Privacy Policy)
• Apple Maps (iOS) / Google Maps (Android) — displays the map and provides directions

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Data Security

API authentication tokens are stored using your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). All network communication with the UK Government API uses HTTPS encryption.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. You can:

• Disable location access in your device settings
• Reset your advertising identifier in your device settings
• Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
